World Help is a Christian humanitarian organization that exists to serve the physical and spirtual needs of people in impoverished communtiies around the world.
Even after 23 years of ministry, God has proven time and again that He specializes in the business of the impossible. In the most desperate of circumstances, He is working to redeem and restore every inch of the world He created. And He invites every single one of us to join Him.
Our purpose—the very reason why we exist—is to be the hands, feet, and heart of Jesus on the ground to whomever we meet, wherever we are.
And while we rely on our hands and feet to empower us to give and serve, we know that the heart, above all else, is what truly sustains us. The heart is what drives us onward.
Together, as the hands, feet, and heart of Jesus, we were able to impact 2,707,283 men, women, and children around the world in 2014 alone.
We estimate that 1,200 people will be served by our clinic every month and thousands every year.
In 2014 we oversaw 14,070 active sponsorships in 21 countries
Where we Work
In 2014, we distributed 287,665 bibles around the world, including North Korea, Turkey, Iran, Iraq, and Syria.
Where the technology was accessible, we distributed digital bibles and other Christian resources via USB - a model that can circulate scripture to hundreds of peopleTweet This
I am a migrant worker and I attend a local house church, where I received my free Bible. I have become stronger in my faith through studying scripture, and I’m greatly touched by your generous offering! I have been witnessing to those around me and sharing the story of how I received my own Bible, encouraging people to love and know Christ. Every time I lay my eyes on my Bible I’m reminded of you. I will never forget you!
Our partners in Myanmar extensively invest in several key areas of urgent need: overseeing a child sponsorship program for orphaned children, managing a leper colony, engineering clean- water projects, running a Bible institute, and much more.
Our partners have estabalised a rehabitation program in one of the most drug-addicted... a 4 year program with 80% successTweet This
My aim is to take advantage of ways that I can use my writing voice to truly reach beyond my reach and make a global difference for the sake of the Kingdom of Christ. Partnering with World Help Bloggers allows me to multiply the efforts of my own platform by joining with other voices.
This past year, as we began to consider possible projects for our annual Christmas Project Offering, it became abundantly clear that God was pulling our heart toward our persecuted brothers and sisters in Christ in Iraq. Praise be to God for His financial blessings so we could give.
It was such a terrible experience when I lost my parents to HIV / AIDS amidst the terrible war in Northern Uganda. However, my tears turned into joy when [World Help] took me up at the age of 6... Ever since, my life has never been the same. I am now 17 years and looking forward to becoming a lawyer.
It breaks my heart to watch children drink water with unknown amounts of diseases floating around in it... I just wanted to do whatever I could do to help.
As a way for me to do something, even after I’m gone, I’ve included World Help in my will. I am privileged to be a part of what they do. Supporting World Help gives all of us the opportunity to be a part of something much bigger than ourselves.
I am constantly reminded by my teammates and donors that we are ALL integral parts of a larger body. Something as simple as calling a donor to let them know that they’re appreciated can make a huge difference.
We loved the opportunity to introduce people to World Help through a live webinar. We sang, shared holiday readings, favorite scriptures, and encouragement. But, most of all, we had fun! I think that associating fun with fundraising makes a difference.
Through our partnership with World Help, we have been building churches and health centers, establishing schools, feeding the malnourished, and doing many other ministries... we are striving for a holistic transformation—body, mind, and soul—for God’s people.
The highlight of my week is to help out in whatever way needed, and at the same time, be blessed by the energy and passion of the World Help staff that reaches across the world to win souls and transform lives for Christ.
